Following on from the purple thread.

I need clothes that are not black.

What colouring are you and what colours suit you?

I have very dark hair, tanned skin and green eyes. Any suggestions?

Weirdly, I was just thinking about this. My theory is that if you go with a similar colour to your eyes you can't go wrong.

DD has blue-grey eyes and I put her in a petrol-blue top this morning which really suits her. DH has grey eyes and looks amazing in charcoal greys.

I have green eyes and mostly wear greens/khakis and brown shades, (makes me sound a bit like fungus the bogeyman Hmm but they really help to make my skin look better than its natural grey hue!) I find that warm golds and oranges also suit. Definitely second wearing navy rather than black.

I like khaki, brown and orange (not all together!)

I am a very boring dresser. No patterns etc.

I have dark hair and olive skin (but not green eyes - I'm jealous!). I find dark red looks great against dark hair, moss green, pale grey/silver, cream. I find most pink shades make my skin look very, very odd and can't wear yellow/orange (though you might get away with orange if you're more tanned and less olive than me).

I have very dark hair, olive skin & hazel eyes - the colours that suit me are those with blue tones - most purples (as long as they're dark and bright, not lavender or lilac), navy/royal/electric blue, emerald & pine green, most vivid pinks, burgundy, damson. No yellows or oranges. Charcoal grey & navy blue are often better than black. Black is fine though as long as you wear bright lipstick. Scarlet & carmine red are also great but not poppy or terracotta red. Hope that helps.

I am typically Irish in my colouring.

I have pale skin with freckles, have blue eyes and dark hair and look best in bright rich jewel type colours (purple/red/pink/emerald green).

I look terrible in pastels, anything nude and khaki, brown, orange or yellow.
