Sheffield Meadowhall... what is going on?

OK .. perhaps I should have posted in chat or something. But S&B seemed more appropriate.

What is going on at Meadowhall? I went today for first time in about a year. Where have half the restauarants upstairs gone? My lovely Italian place... gone It was the thought of salmon pasta and glass of chilled white that kept me going all morning... then off I trot to Oasis and there is its... gone!

French place - gone

Sandwich panini place - gone

about 4 or 5 restaurants - all gone.

Just notices up saying closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Course, because of this, all the other places had waits of 45 mins due to masses of hungry shoppers.

Anyone with any inside info as to what is going on?

Yes, when I was there recently I noticed lots of places near the Oasis were closed, with no notice either.

That Italian place upstairs was lovely and always full of customers. They cannot have closed due to lack of business.

Wonder what is going on.

Is murderhell mega mega busy on Saturdays? have to 'build a bear' and Sat is the only day I can do, Is it better to go for opening? Sorry for the hijack. Am in Doncaster, not been for ages, am dreading it!

We built a bear on sat weekend before last and it was surprisingly quiet. Their card machine was down though so had to pay cash - I suppose that could have been the reason.

thelunar66 · 20/09/2010 18:38

It was very quiet when we were there on Sunday... but the few remaining restaurants were busy with 45 min waits for tables.

Shops though were suprisingly quiet, as was the car park.

We got there about 11.45am

as long as there's not an event on it's usually tolerable..I went once when Bob the Builder was visiting - carnage Grin
