what to wear for engagment party

feel like since ive had my child now nearly 3 ive turned into this frumpy old thing, im only 24 so need ideas and help desperatly

im a size 12 but got no ideas what to buy at all i always go for black :( im open to all suggestions but i really am clueless so if use can mabee match some things up like what type of boots or shoes to wear with the outfit to
and preferibly not a dress

is it your engagement party or someone elses?

Also an idea of your shape and budget?

no its my friends engagement party and i would say i was pear shaped, planning on losing another 8 pounds in weight before but knowing me it might never happen
i dont really have a set budget but as cheap as possible without it being nasty i would say roughly maybee between 100 and £150

no its just a friends engagment part so could be anything really im just hopeless when it comes to picking clothes

No dress...are skirts ok or only trousers?
Also, is the party more casual (dress like on a night out in town) or more formal?

dress like a night out in town and pref trousers, jeans or leggin something that covers my thunder thighs lol

Well I am a pear shape and have just bought this which is very flattering and am wearing it with black skinnies and wedges to a party on Saturday (with straightened but ruffled hair and smoky eyes of course
