I went to the chemist yesterday to try and find some of the waterproof strapping that you recommended. He didn't really have a clue what I was on about (I'd forgotten what it was called by the time I got there!!) but recommended Zinc Oxide tape, which seems to be pretty much the same thing.

Anyway, I've put some on and have been walking around the house for about the last 2 hours, with NO rubbing at all!

YAY you are welcome!!! So happy it's working for you. Keep using the tape until the shoes wear in and your feet get used to them.

I know waterproof strapping (sometimes called Sleek but that is a brand name) can be hard to find, but the do sell it under that name. I tend to find it in the more old fashioned type chemists & buy it when I can so I've always got at least one roll at home. It really works and is the fraction of the cost of the fancy anti-blister stuff out there.

The tape worked fantastically well. I even picked DS up from a friends and popped to the shop in my shoes, which I'd have had no chance of doing without it. I took it off in the shower and put my shoes back on to see afterwards, and they're definitely a lot comfier than they were. Just need to break my Next ones in now - I've had them about 6 months!
