Best under £10 moisturiser available on the high street?

I need a new night cream. I have skin that can be dry and I have a sensitive eyelid(don't ask) so need something quite moisturising. I am also prone to monthly outbreaks of spots so need it be non-greasy. I'm in 30's if that makes any difference.

So, suggestions please?

ponds

I use Johnsons baby 'naturals - intense moisture cream' - about £3 a big pot (250ml) - I am in my mid 50s and often told I have youthful looking skin so it works for me Grin.

Apparently the Superdrug own brands get rave reviews, and last week when I went in all had £3 off so were about £7 each.

Olat's total effects is on offer now and I think £10 in Boots/Superdrug.

chardom · 16/09/2010 17:19

Nivea DNA-age is very good for my sensitive skin. I use the day and night cream in it.

snoozathon · 16/09/2010 17:25

I swear by Olay Regenerist day cream and am chuffed cos it's reduced to just under £11 in Superdrug atm, it's usually about £22.

At night I use Nivea. Thick and seems greasy, but leaves skin super soft in the morning, like a deep moisturising pack. Doesn't give me spots. And I used to splash cash on Dior and Chanel creams, what a waste they were.

snoozathon · 16/09/2010 17:26

Going to try Bio-oil too, although I worry it'll give me spots.

FloraSeymour · 16/09/2010 17:28

Another Nivea user - I read somewhere that the ingredients are pretty much the same as Creme de la Mer - and if you google there are quite a few sites that seem to agree

nameymcnamechange · 16/09/2010 17:29

Neutrogena.

TrillianAstra · 16/09/2010 17:30

I use Olay complete care - it's probably the cheapest Olay one - for normal day moisturiser. SPF15. SPF is very important, and possibly the only thing that can genuinely call itself 'anti-ageing'.

Wow, lots of suggestions, thanks all.

It's a shame you can't get small samples to test. It would take me months and months to buy and try all the moisturisers suggested here!

Another vote for bio oil here. I use it on my face at night and it has really calmed my red congested cheeks.

TheCrackFox · 16/09/2010 20:02

Simple is petty good IMO.

duckyfuzz · 16/09/2010 20:03

I agree nivea dna age is good

JorrisBohnson · 16/09/2010 20:08

watsthestory, are you telling me I can go into superdrugs, with a little bottle, and ask them to deposit some cream in it? Confused

OP posts:
ilikeyoursleeves · 16/09/2010 20:10

I use Simple and it was 'proven' to be one of the best moisturisers even compared to the £££££ ones.

Furball · 16/09/2010 20:23

Marks and spencer Moisturiser with Royal Jelly

Bumperlicious · 16/09/2010 20:30

I don't wear anything at night, except occasionally Neal's Yard Orange Flower facial oil. See what Dr Hauschka says on the subject.

Initially you may feel like the skin is tight but it just needs to be left to regulate itself.

Well, I never knew that, thank you for the tip.

I'm going tomorrow armed with 20 little bottles to stock up!

If you see a woman tomorrow, at your local parade of shops, struggling under the weight of many, many samples of face cream it's me. Grin

wats - Would that work in Boots though?

I really want to try La Roche.
I used ROC for years and then bought exactly the same product last winter and my face went bright red. A large sum of money when its a waste.

I like L@oreal Youth code now.
