Anyone know any good straight leg jeans? Am looking to find some - hopefully black with some stretch. Are topshop jeans any good? Any other recs? thank you!

not much stretch, and sit below navel.
but they look so good, you will forgive them that!
they even look good laid out on the floor!
true to size imo, though different Topshops have different manufacturers apparenttly, so sizing varies.

Another vote for Martha's.

I have 4 pairs of various colours, they are all slightly different sizing wise, some slightly tighter than others, but all fit kin the same size.

I don't find them especially low waisted. I can't do really low waisted but neither can I do high waisted jeans so these are a good compromise.

I wear them to work and am able to bend over in an average length top without showing my granny pants knickers. That's my barometer for too low or notGrin

I find martha jeans a bit on the generous size, what I mean is the 12 is a bit big and roomy on me, but the 10 is too small, not even tumble drying rectifies this, but, I am wearing the 30 length leg - so maybe if I had petite martha jeans they would be true to size, i.e a 12 would fit perfectly? This information will only be useful if you are actually petite. Grin

Agree that Marthas are great, and not outrageously low. In fact I think they come up higher than my Gap Real Straight jeans (which I don't like). I feel that they do run slightly generous -- to my mind they're akin to M&S/Next trouser sizing (and I would probably have expected Topshop to run smaller than that).

If the Marthas don't work out I just got some from New Look. Never bought jeans from there before but Gap have stopped doing longer length in my size....

The fabric seems good quality & fit not bad (given that I find it hard to find jeans that don't gap at the waist)
