It is gorgeous. Order it, try it on, and if it looks daft you can always send it back can't you?

If you like it that much, you can't let it get away!

NomDePlume · 15/09/2010 17:40

it's boring

would you wear it ?

length could drown you if too long and low back not great for daywear (although you could put a tup under it i suppose but it might look crap from a visible seams pov).

are you just buying it because it's cheap ?

NomDePlume · 15/09/2010 17:40

top not tup

Missybaby · 15/09/2010 17:48

in my experience, if there's a problem with it (and you think it's too long, and too low at the back), you won't wear it. hard to hear it, but that's the truth of it...!

MissWooWoo · 15/09/2010 17:50

the first thing that popped into my head when I clicked on the link was "deidre barlow" ... I have no idea why

MissWooWoo · 15/09/2010 17:51

sorry!

PaulineCampbellJones · 15/09/2010 17:58

Because Deirdre wears bodysuits! I know what you mean. Have seen these in Topshop and they are really nice, photo doesn't do it justice. Buy it!

snoozathon · 15/09/2010 19:41

Love the colour, length and low back. However I have a sleeveless maxi from New Look, that shape in stretch cotton is super clingy so no hiding lumps and bumps!

said · 15/09/2010 19:43

Don't like the low back at all - looks a bit cheap

cherylvole · 15/09/2010 19:44

its vile
youll look like abottle of rioja in it

DanceInTheDark · 15/09/2010 19:47

I don't like it at all. Is it not uber clingy?

TotorosOcarina · 15/09/2010 19:51

Hmmm it looks like something the 'lady killer' would wear in murder she wrote.

Do you have a blonde quiff hair style with brown roots?

sethstarkaddersmum · 15/09/2010 19:53

what is it for?

for a very dressy special occasion it might be fun.
For everyday I think you would look nicer in your green kirtle.

Monty100 · 15/09/2010 19:55

Have seen it in Topshop, it's lovely get it. I would have except I have tummy issues Grin.

BelligerentGhoul · 15/09/2010 19:56

Don't like that at all, sorry.

BelligerentGhoul · 15/09/2010 19:57

It makes me think of Lady Macbeth.

TheBolter · 15/09/2010 19:59

I really don't like it, sorry. I don't like low backs either. I like my back and am happy to show it in the right (evening) dress, but clothes that are 'daytimey' with scoop backs look cheap.

TheBolter · 15/09/2010 20:00

yy to LadyMacbeth

thatsnotmymonkey · 15/09/2010 20:03

I tried it on in grey and I loved it! It is clingy, but the cotton/jersey mix is quite thick and hangs nicely. I think with a long pendant and a chunky knit cardi, it would be great for winter. It is unforgiving though, every curve is illuminated!

Buy it!

floweryblue · 15/09/2010 20:07

Looks a bit see-thru to me and totally unforgiving of lumps and bumps, dread to think what it would look like with a lace bra and thong under it.

But if it looks good on you, go for it!

Matsikula · 15/09/2010 20:11

Reminds me of my old ballet teacher, Mrs Delroy (real name? I think not). This is a good thing - I'd wear it with a shortish wrap cardigan and some elegant Mary Janes. Something like the Repetto Gitane. Or alternatively with some flat chunky-ish boots.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 15/09/2010 20:28

the thing is, this shape dress looks good on me. over the summer i lived in my vest style maxi. i would really be buying it because its cheap, might just spend an extra £4 and get the one from asos petite. it is beautiful though, photo doesnt do it justice, although, the back is a problem. would render it unwearable duing the day. but theoretically, i would wear it with chunky low boots, and cardi and chunky jewellary.

thatsnotmymonkey · 15/09/2010 20:35

Wear a plain scoop back vest under it in the day time. You could totally get away with that in the day time. The length...if you have good dressmaking scissors I would get a mate to hold the hem taught and shear off the bottom. The material wont fray and if your scissors it will be a clean cut.
