vertbaudet shoe sizes - "J" what does this mean?

I am about to buy some wellies from Verbaudet and wondered what size an 8 compared to an 8J is all about.
Thought the website would be able to help but there's no info about the mysterious JConfused

I think a J means junior, so an 8J would be a toddler 8. I THINK.

OK, that would make sense.

I just got confused as anything that's a half size doesn't seem to have a J.

Looking back at the website now it appears that it's quite poorly done and can't cope with 3 or 4 digits.

If you're ordering from Vertbaudet then I would buy about 3 sizes too big.

Their delivery takes that long, your child will have grown out of them by the time you get them!

Grin Thanks, I've just ordered some stuff for my DD and the fur filled wellies were going to be a gift. I may have to rethink that.
