Bright childrens coats

Has anyone seen any nice bright children's winter coats yet...... i have looked at all the normal site but nothing, next have the brightest but they are big padded quilt things, my ds is 3 and on the small side, this would look silly on him!

Why is it always dark coats for the little boys at winter!!

fab colours, nice and bright. good quality too, although expensive.

no online shopping, though, so you'd have to be near-ish a store.

Red jacket from Zara

Gap often have red or orange; could be worth looking there.

Red this year but on re-reading that probably counts as a big padded quilt thing. Lovely and toasty though.

I read this as coats for 'bright' children

I really rate H&M boys coats. They are quite snowboardy and they normally have a least 1 bright colour. If you can hold off till later in the year they are normally 50% come November ish..

Those Land's End jackets are truly gorgeous and brilliantly functional, but my word, £40!!! I barely spend that on a coat for myself, but for a child that will get only one year's wear before growing out of it? Gives me palpitations

I think the big plus of the Land's End jackets is the extendable sleeves so that there's every chance of getting at least a couple of years' wear out of it (possibly three, if you buy a bit on the large side to begin with).

Then if you have cleverly spaced all your children almost exactly three years apart ( although I will admit I was not chiefly motivated by Land's End's coat sizing policy) you can hand down to next child(ren) and get another three years out of it.

I got a pink one of those lands end jackets in the sale for dd1 last year. it's so good i'd consider paying full price.

Doh, jeee and paisleyleaf beat me to it, I was going to ask what about the thick kids? Don't they need coats too?

Thank you ladies, i do like the lands end coats, I normally buy bigger so it last for 2 winters so at £40 over 2 years is not so bad.........
