Aaargh! Blardy Martha jeans falling down.

Back in Martha jeans for Autumn. They are falling down. WHY, WHY WHY?

It drives me insane.

For all those of you who may say "You must have lost weight lg&t". Noooooo. I am still fat.

They just slip down to reveal a bum crack (nice) and you have to haul them up. This means everytime i stand up i jump like a loon hoicking em back up. When i get up and down approximately 4378 times a day it becomes boring.

They are nice though. I want the same jeans but ones that don't fall down.

Help me.

Braces?

< not really >

largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 19:10

HAHA! Tempting.

It's like maternity jeans that fall down. Grrrr

That whole bum crack thing happened to me the other day..at work...Oh God, nightmare.

I'm sure they were all thinking, Ah ha! now I know where to park me bike!

So, much sympathy but no solutions, tis tiresome.

Themasterandmargaritas · 13/09/2010 19:16

Mine too. I only bought them cos everyone else told me to.

Waste of money. Bah humbug.

bagpuss · 13/09/2010 19:16

LG&T you have my sympathy. DH complained that mine (from Fat Face) do the same. Long tops are always an option but the falling down thing is uncomfortable. Mine grow as well, until I can take them off without undoing them. Seriously, who designs these things? Tis very frustrating Sad.

EleFunTess · 13/09/2010 19:18

Rubbish jeans. They don't wash well and they do the bum-slide thing, as you have discovered.

New Look slim-fit are better (as cheapo jeans go!).

tulpe · 13/09/2010 19:19

Oh yes, the Martha-induced arse crackage issue. I feel your pain.

I know it sounds a bit unlikely but.....I switched from Martha's to Boden straight legs and haven't looked back since. They are mid-rise so protect your modesty without looking frumpy.

Depending on size, you can also purchase Johnnie B skinnies which give an almost identical fit to Martha's minus arse crackage issues :o

Themasterandmargaritas · 13/09/2010 19:19

Next jeans work well for me.

largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 19:21

Oh really Elle.

Hmmm.

I am SO fed up. I just had to change a bottom and wipe a bum. Bad enough but when you have to hoick jeans up 4 times in the process, BAH!

Just checking but you are wearing a belt aren't you?

largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 19:24

Tulpe i ordered some of the boden straightleg cords (pertol) and they were too high in the waist. Sent em back.

They did this kind of odd pinch at the waist thing. Was VERY unattractive.

Do you think the jeans will be the same fit?

Am a 12. Will johnnieB fit me?

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 19:25

Oh yes belt on.

I love love love Martha's. They are the only jeans I wear. But I do have to use a belt with them.

Tried Boden straight leg, and they don't fit me at all, all baggy at the groin.

BooBooGlass · 13/09/2010 19:27

Oasis jeans don't do this. I live in my skinnies from there, and never reveal my crack. I have a 2 year old in perpetual motion so they must be good Wink

Tn0g · 13/09/2010 19:27

Eat less or how about, elasticated in the waist area jeans?

I'm tempted.

MissWooWoo · 13/09/2010 19:27

now you see, these are what you need

largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 19:30

Misswoo i may be tempted if i was pregnant.

Eat less so i can fit in to skinny mini jeans is the way to go i think Tn0g.

Are Oasis online? I can't be faffed with shops. The children sap all fun from the experience.

largeginandtonic - yes Boden's cut is generally a bit weird on their trousers. I can wear their jeans but not their cords. I tried a pair last year and they were very unflattering (but kept them as were v cheap and come in handy for walking the dog in v muddy conditions :o ) So it might be worth trying the jeans.

As for Johnnie B sizing. I am an 8-10 and wear the 30L. However, my thighs have seen some significant weight gain recently due to post-op recovery time and I can still get in them so might be worth a go Hmm

Themasterandmargaritas · 13/09/2010 19:36

There's no hope. Just face it and move on to the classic collection

largeginandtonic · 13/09/2010 19:39

Nooooooo TMAM.

Besides you can wear whatever you like you are TINY woman.

Tulpe i may have a gander then.

tulpe · 13/09/2010 19:40

OMFG those M&S jeans are just plain nasty :o

Themasterandmargaritas · 13/09/2010 19:42

Grin.

Actually I am wearing some Boden straight leg crops from last year, at this minute and they fit vv well, still a little gappy at the waist but I don't need to hoik.

chocolatefroggie · 13/09/2010 19:45
