Fitflop lace-up' Supertone' shoes ?

Have had some Fitflops I really liked (particularly their boots, on which have started a thread), but not a fan of all their styles. Has anyone tried their new 'Supertone' lace-up flats, which they describe as 'sneakers'?? If so, what colour did you choose, and what do you think of them?

Did try them on, thinking of wearing them as a 'sensible'/ comfortable shoe for walking. But was unsure, wondering if they fell between too many stools (too thick-soled to be Converse-like, but not trainers either).

i have the black ones, the pewer colour look very nice too. They are just as comfy as the fitflops, i wear socks with mine as the ankle/heel isnt padded and i think i would get blisters.

They are wided than converses, kinda remind me of bowling shoes. The look fine with bootcut jeans or trackies bottoms because the trousers cover part of the shoe. But they look horrible with straight legged jeans, the jean bunches up, where as with a slimmer plimsole the jean hangs nice.

I do think they were very expensive for what they are £80, shame they couldnt make them slimmer. I dont believe the toning claims, but they are comfy shoes.

I've got the pewter ones (and loads of summer styles, so am a big fitflop fan). They are very comfy because I have plantar fasciitis and can't wear converse (no arch support) so they enable me to cross the bridge between fitflop and boot. But, as miche8 says, they are a bit wide on the toe end and also they did slip a bit on one foot at first. Like any new shoes, I got a little blister on my heel the first two times of wearing, but now it's totally fine. Also agree that you can only wear with widelegs, but I do, so it's good for me. I think my only little criticism would be that on the toe end it bunches up on me a bit, but I do have narrow-ish feet. I walk a LOT every day, so they suit my lifestyle fine and make the cost easier to bear.

hope this helps.

Thanks for those comments. Think you've both put your finger on it. I tried them on with straight leg jeans and that's why they looked so wrong. A bit more support than given by Converse-style shoes - or indeed brogues with ordinary leather soles (though would like some of those too) - is just what I need for when comfortable walking's a bigger consideration than fashion.

with the right trousers they are ideal for walking so comfy and supportive. I hate that i've become this way about shoes. Converse are so uncomfortable for a flat shoe, i even put a insole in but can only manage a couple of hours. The boden satin plimsoles are very comfy too and look lovely with straight legged jeans, tempted to try the leather ones they have this season.

Yes, I have the Boden satin plimsolls - agree they are comfortable as well as looking good. Also had their leather ones last winter (not sure if this year's are exactly the same). Were comfortable, but I still felt the sole was a bit thin when walking on hard or uneven surfaces for a long time. That's why am contemplating the Fitflop ones - the soles look much thicker than could be achieved by Boden plimsolls plus insoles.
