I saw a real, live, proper man in tight breeches and riding boots today

Very tight breeches, and he was in fine figure.
The boots were shiny but duffed up a bit.

I have never seen anything as attractive in all my days.

WHY do women spend so much money dressing for men, yet most men don't pay any attention to women's fetishes preferences?

Grin

did he take his shirt off and swim across a lake?

cyb · 12/09/2010 19:32

Was he wearing a smocked Blouson

fuschiagroan · 12/09/2010 19:34

Mmmm..

A Gieves and Hawkes (or similar) suit also does it for me. I have no attraction for the scruffy, sensitive, artistic types most women seem to swoon over.

cornsilk909 · 12/09/2010 19:34

visible panty line?

cyb · 12/09/2010 19:35

The least you could have done is take a sneaky pic and post it

Some of us need to see these things

UnePrune · 12/09/2010 19:35

He was wearing what I think is called a hacking jacket.
This was on Candlemaker Row in Edinburgh, so not The Cuntry by any stretch.

I once spent an hour people watching from Starbucks and the number of men who wear trousers with STUFF in the pockets. Dear LORD free your pockets of stuff (and put some good boots on) and I am YOURS.

Disclaimer: you might not want me but you get the drift.

And the photographic evidence is...?

cornsilk909 · 12/09/2010 19:35

I know cyb. Pure selfishness.

cornsilk909 · 12/09/2010 19:36

Was he on a horse?

thelunar66 · 12/09/2010 19:38

God how wonderful OP. I now need to rush off and re-read some Jilly Cooper.

TrillianAstra · 12/09/2010 19:38

Is it because the new Jilly Cooper book is out tomorrow?

UnePrune · 12/09/2010 19:40

I'm sorry. I actually did a double and triple take and then hung my head in shame as he approached. I think to have got my phone out at that point would have been shaming.

But I am glad to see I have touched a chord Grin

(I also got the Aubin and Wills catalogue with Alex James as model. Free thrillz!)

OP posts:
cyb · 12/09/2010 19:42

Now you've ruined it for me by mentioning Alex James

UnePrune · 12/09/2010 19:43

Sorry. But bear in mind he doesn't speak in the catalogue. The clothes are just what I like on a man. I can ignore him being a bit of a twit because he has good legs and a bit of stubble.

I think I am having a mid life crisis.

OP posts:
cornsilk909 · 12/09/2010 19:44

All I can think of is cheese.

cyb · 12/09/2010 19:44

I am DEF having a mid life crisis.

cyb · 12/09/2010 19:45

corny my friend who works in a cheese shop has just delivered a massive paper bag of cheese to me for washing some of her clothes! I have a hunk of Brie as big as my head

TrillianAstra · 12/09/2010 19:47

Wow - is your head wedge-shaped?

cornsilk909 · 12/09/2010 19:47

What about ipodge? Are you going to scoff it all in one go? Why can't your mate wash her own clothes?

sugarlake · 12/09/2010 19:48

Did he have buttocks like two halves of a walnut shell?

Tigerdrivesbackin · 12/09/2010 19:49

I was about to faint until I heard the passionkilling words "Alex James".

But OP, your original vision of loveliness is staying with me.

Have you ever been to a polo match (game, chukka, whatever). They have men like this ALL THE TIME there. And they are mysteriously Latin American.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 12/09/2010 19:53

I'd have been panting if he had a whip... Wink

dexter73 · 12/09/2010 20:12

I always used to go and watch the Boxing Day hunt meet just to stare at the men! Not a fan of hunting though.

traceybath · 12/09/2010 20:14

I know hunting is bad etc etc but a hunt regularly comes past our house and well - I do spend a long time showing the children the lovely horses Blush

Trills - Jilly's new book is the 16th isn't it?

TrillianAstra · 12/09/2010 20:30

Someone said Monday - I have not looked into it in detail - I'll either borrow it from someone or wait for the paperback.

Not keen on Latin American - they all think they are so pretty. And to be fair some of them are, but they are far too aware of it (plus oiled hair = yuck).
