Any recommendations for nice knickers for a 7 year old with large tummy i.e. soft cotton, no elastic, don't go up-your-bum etc.
Have tried Mothercare, M&S, Sainburys ...

Zara do nice sort of short style ones, I am sure M&S have them sometimes too. I would also try H&M, they do good but quite thick boxer style jersey knickers for girls.

my dd is currently wearing the plainest/cheapest ones from asda, in two sizes bigger than she is. She is only quite slight but can't bare anything too tight or fussy (like me!)

She is the princess and the pea type, with regards to edging, frill, elastic. She doesn't get on with shorts style ones as they fuss around her thighs and feel too low.

M&S shorts style ones tend to do the wedgy as they haven't much elastic in the legs.
Asda and John Lewis have lasted longest in our house.

Thanks for suggestions. Finding nice knickers seems to be a lifelong quest ...
