Maternity Wear - is it just me or if you are a bit padded before getting pg, maternity wear is not great??

Had no problems with maternity wear when pg with DS as was 10st when got preg and a size 12/14

However, this time around, due to not shifting all of the baby weight from DS, am a size 16/18 and am finding all the maternity stuff just looks awful!

There doesn't seem to be much selection in stores either except for jeans or trousers...tops are not practical and they don't seem to have a range of maternity tops suitable for work

Reluctant to do online shopping as I just know I will have to order various sizes to find the best fit and tons will need sending back...

Help!

I've just been out to the supermarket, wearing one of my new tops! Why on earth did I feel so self conscious? Like I had a big 'I'm pregnant' sign flashing above my head. Daft :)

Yes Puss I do feel much better, it's back to DS's toddler music things and whatnot over the next week and it does feel better to know that I've got some things to wear that make me look alright rather than like a bag lady Grin
With the ordering, on the returns slip that came it says that if you have things delivered to your house you can still return in store - so that's useful to know if the post office is a PITA for you.

I think we will try to find out the sex, just to know to buy something a bit girly if we have a girl. Nuchal scan is tomorrow actually so that's exciting, feels like getting the ball rolling if that makes any sense?
