Open pores

Can anyone suggest a good product for taking care of the huge open pores that I have on my cheeks and nose. I have just realised how horrible they are! Thanks.

I'm sure they aren't horrible, but I do sympathise and have tried several things on mine.

Clinique do a Pore Minimizer Refining Lotion, which you apply before putting on make up. It doesn't actually treat them, but makes them less obv.

Have you tried having a good clarifying facial? Some specialize in unblocking pores and will use steam to open and clean them out, then an astringent to close them up again. You could even just try sitting in a steam room or over a bowl of steaming water, then cleaning them out and using a toner to close them up.

Thanks bigsarahj - I will look at the Clinique lotion - and will also consider a facial to get me started - a good idea!

Benefit also do a new pore minimiser - had a quick trial of it and seems good...

Have you tried intense pulsed light? I've heard that it refines the pores!!!

The Clinique stuff is really good!

I have the same problem with open pores and also use the clinique stuff.I have been told that microdermabrasion could work to refine them.

also I would add that an atsringent can only take away oil from the skin and not close pores because pores have no muscle so can't open and close.
