My 18-month old DS is now walking and going from wooden floor to carpet to garden patio in bare feet. What shall I do in the winter? can you recommend warm indoor slippers, and also fleece lined booties that he can wear in garden? Thx!

We buy sheepskin booties. The are very good for indoor. The feet are always warm.
For the outside, I once got Muddy Puddles wellies which you can wear with a temperature below 0. I also remember Gap used to sell boots with warm lining. I do not know whether they do something like that now. You could also buy kind of walking boots for winter. They are padded and warm.

I've never been able to get mine to keep slippers on at that age. Gave up in the end and bought slipper socks.

Sleepers are tricky for this age; much better booties because they might have laces or velcro.
