Those Beryl Ware scarves are made out of roving, which is unspun wool - they are guaranteed to pill I reckon. I think the OP's scarf seems good value if it is mostly wool. Knitting a scarf is pretty boring although this looks like it has been knitted on HUGE needles so quick to do.

This is nice cheap thickish wool if you could find a granny: little big wool

sorry to be correct, spun wool but not twisted - the stuff they spin yarn out of.

These look similar.

I was given the most fabulous chunky long scarf last weekend, huge affair with a sort of gather detail in the rib. It is from Calvin Klein and I'm in love with it. Cost wise I have no idea but it was worth every penny however much it was.

Bought a chunky scarf just like the Diesel one at Zara a few days ago for 15 euros. Nasty acrylic, but looks like $$$ and fits the bill for the time being. Mine is black but they did have several other colors.

Soooo, has anyone bought a Beryl Ware scarf yet?
Am seriously considering it but want to know more about the feel and quality before I part with £123.00 and my marriage.
