Please help me find a coat that has a little bit of style. I have a smart winter coat, but need something to wear whilst watching dc play football and horse ride, ie when it is blowing a hurricane and chucking it down!
I currently have a 9 year old mens down jacket which does not fit, looks awful, but keeps me warm. Any suggestions?

North face - Any good?

Wilfself started a fab thread here, for winter coats.

I'm coveting this Craghoppers coat recommended by Earthymama in that thread which might fit the bill for you.

I will watch with interest, as these suggestions will fit the bill for my playground duty coat too! Has to be under £100 though.

Thanks, have looked at the longer thread with interest! I wish I knew how warm they will be from the ads, I need warmth and waterproof, plus a little bit of style, preferably not too expensive....
I know I know, I want everything :)
I would love a North Face, but they are very expensive. However if it lasts 10 years like the last one, then worth it?

The perfect stylish warm winter coat - 80 quid

That looks good, LadyB, a great range of colours. I feel a trip to Westfield coming on, as I'd want to try it on to make sure I don't look like I'm wearing a sleeping bag Grin
