What type of bag to wear with a parka?

I'm at a loss...I have this but am unsure what sort of bag would go with it. I live in baggy cords, jeans, trainers, timberland boots etc. I used to have a long duvet type coat and had an over the body slim brown smartish square bag which looks daft with this. Do you think a hobo type bag or a satchel would look ok? I live abroad and walk a lot in wind and cold... I don't want anything too big tho.

Thanks for any advice!

i wear my same old fat face canvas messenger style bag with my parka. (i wear it with everything!!) i think itb looks cool, but i am known for my "quirkiness" and not my fashion! Grin

Just going to say any style of messenger- I think a tan colour would look great.

By the way, I have been searching for the perfect Parka for weeks and I think this is it - so thank you for posting Grin

Thanks both! I think I need a new bag - husband will kill me as only got the other one earlier this year and looks stupid with this style of coat!

I was a bit dubious but it's a really good coat (bit exp tho but I thought worth it), good quality, and you can draw in the waist to make it more fitted. I'm not sure it'll keep me toasty warm in the freeeezing cold here (France), but i'm thinking maybe lots of fine layers instead.

Hope you try it bats!
