What size is 33" waist Levi jeans?

Do I measure the waist on me - does it correspond to normal dress sizing?

It says on the website that the maximum waist size for 33" jeans is 31 and 7/8ths - does this then mean that the maximum Levi jeans size is a size 10/small 12 - how can that be right?

Do they just not make larger sizes?

I'm asking because of the daily mail (sorry) article today saying they were doing 3 different sizes according to butt/waist differential - and I have a small waist but larger butt so thought they might fit.

Well until 2 weeks ago my waist was 33" but I used to fit in to size twelve jeans.

HOWEVER if you look on the sizing charts, that would be about size 16/18, so in my OPINION if you go by your own waist size you'll end up with a pair of jeans miles too big.

i wear diesel jeans and mine are either 27 or 28. I am a size 8-10 with a big bum. These jeans sit on the hip so it isnt your waist measurement. i believe 30 is 12 ,32 is 14 so 33 would be size '15. '

Ordering online? Do they do free returns? Order a range of sizes (pay on credit card) send back the ones yo don't want and the refund will be on your card before you get your bill so you won't actually have paid any extra.

I would expect 33" to mean 'the waistband of these jeans measure 33 inches' (so the place where you want it to sit should measure 33", not necessarily your waist), but that's unlikely given how weird clothes sizing is.

You take 4" off. A 28W jeans in Levi is a 10, 30"W a 12 etc.

33 inch is a size 15 which is what I wear. That said, I bought mine in Australia where they have odd size numbers.
