30 Day Shred is great. There is a support thread on here too. It really effective and only takes 20 minutes per day. Its tough going but very very effective.

Thanks. I have seen Shred mentioned on here. Will take a peek on amazon then. 20 minutes a day sounds very do-able too :)

Any others?

Davina McCall Power of 3 is also good, but having done LOTS of exercise dvd's the 30 day Shred is the best. Its very quick to do but does work. Its on 3 levels and you work through each one before moving onto the next, so you don't get bored. If you read through the thread on here, you can see the results people are getting.

I'll 3rd the 30 day shred. It's almost perfect.

I will 4th the 30 day shred! Grin Best workout DVD i ever bought plus i have completed 60 days of it now and have never managed that before with other DVDs!

I like this one, especially the boxing bit. Decent music too.

If you have Sky, there is a fitness channel and they do exercise classes.

I sometimes Sky+ ones I like and do them when the baby is sleeping.....

I'll fifth the Shred even though I fell off the band wagon.

Hannah Waterman Body blitz is a good work out too - better stretching section than the Shred (sacrilege I know - the work out in Shred is good but the stretches are pretty short and not v good). Davina is also generally a good bet.

Shred

Billy Blanks Bootcamp Workout.

If you do these properly then they are fairly hardcore.

Shred also gives you the option to up the weights or do 2 workouts back to back when you get fitter.

I'm starting my worksouts this week and am starting with Davina and moving onto -the- -scary- -woman- Jillian Michaels in a couple of weeks'. I'v eheard that Tracey Anderson isn't that clear with the instructions, and Hannah Watermans' tan plus the weird warehouse thing put me off her dvd.

Incidentally I will also be using Maya Feinne's Kundalini Yoga dvds which I already use and are mind-blowingly good (literally - I ended up high the first few times I used them and couldn't speak for about an hour afterwards.)

Supercherry · 30/08/2010 21:22

I'd always advise any of the Nell McAndrew DVDs for a good, challenging workout. Easy to follow routines too. Lots of cardio and squats and usually a resistance section too.

You can pick up the older ones really cheap on ebay or Amazon.

tulpe · 30/08/2010 21:38

Thanks for all your recommendations :)

I have ordered the 30 Day Shred and the Tracey Anderson dance cardio & mat workout dvd. Am loving the sound of The Shred but it is still early days post-tummy tuck so I need to "ease" my way back into exercise but still want a bit of a challenge.

Spiritmum - those yoga dvds sound fab! Will look out for those.

Zumba!
its a silly mishmash of world dancing styles, it has really helped me tone up and i have no sense of rhythm, i got this set.

Tracy's great.
Particularly for the arms and the love handles. And bum and legs.
