Maxi dress; am I too late?

Just bought a black jersey maxi dress, love it, thinking of boden one in sale in brown. Need to know:
-am I too late getting in on trend?

• will it look awful (size 20)

-can I wear in A/W with long sleeve tee under?

• WTF do I wear it with apart from denim jacket & metallic flats?

No to long sleeve T, yes to cardigan and leather pumps for winter...

Ooh I have lots of both! Tights?

And... And... Boyfriend cardi or round neck shorter?

Not boyfriend, shorter v neck, 3/4 length sleeves imo...but round would be fine, and so would long sleeves.

I would also buy a snood for winter and cosy up a maxi by covering up the neckline, or a scarf/pashmini wrapped around a few times...

I also have lots of scarves. :)

wear with denim jacket, leather jacket, cardi shape & texturedependent on what suits your size and shape imo - belted good for this season
lace up boots, biker boots, caged sandals.
careful of tights bc of static cling
scarf yes, not so sure about snood

look on just about any website for styling ideas (wallis etc)

letthemeatcake, I have a cream large knit snood which work great on almost any outfit, making it look cosy and very a/w....

snoods are the way to go for winter - I have just bought a tabacco colour one from Topshop and will be teaming it with dresses, jeans, just about everything in my wardrobe
I would go for the biker boots this AW which will keep your dress looking fashionable
