Fair isle sweater dress

I am hankering after one of these for the autumn/winter. Have googled a bit, and I've established that I don't like anything too bright or with reindeers (Paul Smith hang your head in shame) and I'd like it to be quite fitted.

I love this sweater from Joules but it doesn't come as a dress.

Budget £100-150; has anyone seen anything to fit the bill?

Am looking for something similar and this is the nearest I've found but its just not quite right.

OooohWhatIfItHurts · 25/08/2010 14:25

Um, that takes me to some M&S footgloves... not quite what I was after Grin

The closest I have come is this dress but haven't bought from that company before and the rest of their stuff is a bit middle-aged-art-teacher, IYKWIM. What do you think of it?

ha ha I quite like the Paul Smith one!!

am also after something of this ilk (elk?? Grin) but haven't started looking in earnest yet as it's STILL SUMMER!!

and until Cbeebies says otherwise, I'm hanging resolutely on to that belief.

Thanks, ladies, for your efforts but annoyingly (for you) I have plumped for the one I saw at the random Peruvian website. It was closest to what I had in mind - no reindeers LTEC! - and also I fell for this hammed up sales pitch about alpaca fibre:

From high in the Peruvian Andes comes one of the finest and most luxurious fibers in the world. Peruvian alpaca?once reserved for Inca royalty?is silky against the skin, velvety smooth to the touch. Alpaca's unique hollowcore gives it an insulating softness that is extremely lightweight yet much warmer and stronger than wool.

Not just any alpaca fibre... M&S eat your heart out.

Slightly concerned that I may be developing, ahem, arty tastes in clothes. Please intervene if I start linking to eclectic lovelies such as this and this...

Although I am tempted by the legwarmers but bugger me backwards with a banana, they are £99!

Rambling now. Grin

nice work OOOH, I love a bit of alpaca, have an alpaca hat (bonnet?) that I bought in Bolivia (on my blog if you're interested)

I rather like the hairstyle of the lady in the slightly silly peruvian connection skirt.
