Shoe advice

I bought some absolutely beautiful shoes for my wedding in a couple of weeks time. I tried them on in the store and they fit ok.

I have size 2 feet, and as I cannot find size 2's (that I like) anywhere I bought size 3's. Which is normal for me, all of my shoes are size 3, and are fine.

So these were a teensy bit loose but have an elasticated strap, so will stay on my feet.

What I forgot however is that when I tried them on in store, my feet had obviously swollen up from walking around lots beforehand.

I tried them on again at home and got on fine, sop I decided to wear them outside briefly, to see how I did on a non carpeted surface. And it was at this point I discovered that where they are slightly too big they rubbed at the sides of my feet. Badly.

Now I cannot return them, and I really cannot just not wear them (they were quite expensive Blush - ok they cost more than the dress)

So I need to make them work. Do any of you wonderful resourceful ladies have an ideas? Preferably more than just plasters.

It's difficult to know from your description about the style of shoe and where they rub, but would a special insole help?
You can buy a type which only go at the ball and toes of your feet. Therefore it lifts your feet up in the shoe. Maybe this would help to lift your feet so that they don't move so much in the shoe and don't rub.
Also, the chances are, you'll spend most of your wedding day on your feet, so they will swell a bit then too and may fit as well as they did in the shop.

Stuff cotton wool into the toe to make them smaller.

Put compeed on where you think it's going to rub - it's clear and MUCH better than plasters.

Have you got a long dress? Wear them for the ceremony and pics, then have a comfy pair of flatties to hide underneath for the rest of the day. Thats what I did and was truly grateful for them by halfway through the afternoon.
