Find me a dress for my DS' baptism please.

DS is being baptised mid-September. I would like a knee-length-ish dress to wear with these shoes, which I bought pre-pregnancy (sadly for £90) but which I've only worn a couple of times and so remain in very good condition.

I am 30, blonde highlighted hair, fair skin, size 10 on the bottom and 12 on the top due to breastfeeding bosoms. I have good legs as I do a lot of walking, but cannot shift the flab off my tummy so don't want anything too tight round there - no cinched in waists.

I also would ideally like the dress to cover my shoulders - firstly so I don't have to fanny about with a wrap, secondly, cos I get cold and thirdly and most importantly, because I'd like to wear one of my nursing bras underneath. I was a bridesmaid for my sister and had a nightmare with the dress - ended up not being able to wear a bra underneath it and my boobs were round my knees. I want to avoid that scenario again at all costs.

Budget up to £150ish.

Thanks.

Is there a colour you particularly like or want to wear with the purple shoes?

Do you like navy? This Planet dress with the draping at the front should skim over a post baby tum as would this Phase Eight dress. Or what about grey from LK Bennett?

If you need a dress you can feed in then what about a wrap dress? This LK Bennett one has a bit of purple in it so would work with the shoes. Or there's a plain purple one from Phase Eight.

I don't want to go top to toe purple, but otherwise I'm not bothered about the colour, provided its not too garish. I don't suit orange or citrus colours.

I do like that Planet dress, though prefer natural materials. I think I'm going to have to put my fussiness over materials to one side though as everything seems to be polyester or nylon or viscose or rayon. Ugh.

I used not to be able to wear wrap dresses as I was not ample of bosom but I could go that way now. I like the Phase 8 one, would work with black tights.

Off to JL for some trying on I think.
