What colour Nail varnish are we wearing?!

Getting fed up of black or navy blue!....Currently have clear on my nails, which I quite like1 But a bit of colour wouldnt go amiss!

Silver on toenails - have just taken it off my fingernails and haven't decided what to replace it with.

I have just bought these:

Mavala Milano (dark magenta/aubergine)

Mavala Velvet (light but dusky grey/pink)

Revlon Grey Suede (very flesh/beige)

Gosh Miss Mole (luvverly dark grey/brown)

But saving all those for Autumn/Winter

Am currently wearing:

Mavala La Paz - a nice bright holiday coral/pink to go with the tan that I will be getting this time next week!

I had been waiting for the Revlon Grey Suede for ages, since seeing it in a magazine and then was v disappointed with it irl.

yes, also disappointed with grey suede. it's awful. nicotine coloured. makes me look like i have no fingernails, just flesh. epic fail !

I must admit I tried it on and it looked rather more yellow tinged than I'd hoped. I might tip in a bit of the dark brown one and mix it up!

I went home with a dab of poisonous green on my nail the other day, and DH had a fit. I'm glad I didn't buy it - it would have been so out of character for me to be such a fashion-victim. I usually resist the temptation and rise above such silliness. (except I'm rather taken with this taupe/brown/murky mauve malarkey).

if you'd liked it, would you have taken it off to please dh?

Hmm. Not sure. I think I knew it wasn't really me to start with. When I say he had a fit, I mean he just said 'Urrgh! What a revolting colour! Why on earth have you got that on your nail?'

I did persist for a while in wearing a dress that I loved, and he hated, when we went out. In the end I decided to listen to him and stop wearing it. He is very rarely critical of how I look (quite the opposite usually) so I felt that if he really hated it then I should respect that, and not wear it. After all, I would expect him to do the same for me.

was curious really, have been single a good long while! that does seem fair enough, have been out with bfs in the past and thought certain items revolting, repricocity of comment seems only fair
