Dermalogica recommendations

Hi - does anybody recommend any Dermalogica products - particularly for Dry / Anti-ageing / Frown lines

I use the skin smoothing cream (moisturiser) which is marvellous, I have easily sensitized/dry skin that used to be prone to excema and it is great. I also use the Ultracalming cleanser gel (good for sensitive skin) and the Daily Microfoliant exfoliator when I haven't run out. The Precleanse oily stuff is good too.

I would recommend going and having your skin 'mapped' by a Dermalogica person who can recommend products, they're a bit expensive to 'hit and hope' with on the whole. Most salons that use the products offer this free, in fact I think they have to offer it as they can't sell them without having that facility I think. Beautyflash.co.uk is reliable and cheaper than most salons when you come to buy.

I use special cleansing gel and daily microfoliant which is wonderful.
But I use Clarins Super restorative cream as it has SPF and just works for me.

I love Light treatment, after I've been having it never needed any creams any more. My skin looks amazing! the only use is mackup removal cream and toner.

Again, I would agree you should have a facial somewhere and get the face mapping done - then take the list of recommended products and have a look at beautyflash.co.uk. I would thoroughly recommend them and their customer service is 2nd to none. I ordered the wrong cleanser (totally my fault) I was having internet problems and phoned to reorder the right one - had a little moan to the girl on the phone about my own stupidity - She immediately offered to refund even though I told her it was my fault and I'd opened it! - They sent a return label and I stuck it back in the post and it was refunded - She said they have a policy of refund if not happy for WHATEVER reason (even stupidity Shock) My skin was a complete nightmare after ds was born and a lovely friend gave me a voucher for a facial - have been using the products ever since and think they're great. I use Special cleansing gel, Multi active toner, and skin smoothing cream every day - Daily Micofoliant most days and precleanse and gentle cream exfoliant every fortnight or so.

Get the face mapping done if you can but you can't go wrong with the Essential Cleansing solution if you wear makeup and want to hot cloth it off and cleanse all in one, and if you like a foaming cleanser then you can't go wrong with the Special cleansing gel.

For a good, all round, morning and evening moisturiser, the Skin Smoothing Cream is excellent.

None of those products mentioned are too extreme one way or the other - they are generally suitable for all skin types except for very oily or very sensitive. So unless you swing wildly in one direction or other, you really can't go wrong. The beauty of it is you can do a Dermalogica routine on as little as 2 basic products - the cleanser of your choice and that Skin Smoothing Cream. So that's a very good place to start.

Frown lines. No moisturiser can do much for them. They are dynamic lines. Being well moisturised is great for fine lines round the eyes etc, but there is but one thing that will stop those frown lines from forming and that is Botox. If you dont want to go there, then at least try and stop frowning!

Seriously, they happen, and its not down to bad skincare. But good skincare is great to have.
