Stylish yet functional, or just a bit dull?.

Have we had a stylish raincoat with a hood thread yet this year?

Not in the pink - I'm thinking Expedition Green.

It's a minger luvvie.
Sorry.
Very 'I'm popping into Marks for a triple pack og giant knickers then off home for a nice cup of tea and a bourbon.'
And there is no such thing as stylish with a hood.

Damn you all. You're bloody right. And I do fancy a bourbon.

There has to be a stylish with hood coat out there. There was last year and the year before that, but I didn't need one then - this is one of those perennial thread things. It's only a matter of time before someone tells me to search teh archives.

yes, it's the hood thing isn't it, you immediately loose style points when you look like little red riding hood, a nan, or a 4 yrs old lol!

I will persist. I will prove you all wrong - I NEED a hood because umbrellas and their eye-poking potential scare me, plus I lose them.

i was going to suggest a parka, i have one and I think the hood is ok with it. It's no good as a waterproof coat, but it's shower proof, and the hood is massive!!

piratecat - I do like that, but I'm 44 and fretting that that's a young person's coat (the same applies to my ASOS ones earlier). I don't want to look like mutton, or like a frump.

Sorry - I've lost all sense of perspective re what's appropriate clothing and suspect I do look like mutton much of the time. And today I look 44 going on 50.

Many thanks everyone for your help - I think I'm going for the Uniqlo :).
