Biker Boots - Seen Any Good Ones?

DreamsInBinary · 14/08/2010 14:56

I have wanted a pair for ages but am naturally devoid of style far too cautious and never know whether they have too many or too few bikery 'bits'.

They would be to wear with dresses and tunics - so not too authentically biker gear. I am a fairly tall size 12.

I would be very grateful for your help on this, stylish ones - thank you!

expensive

MooMinCow · 14/08/2010 15:09

ooh can i tag along? Want some biker boots too. Was thinking of these or more casual

scurryfunge · 14/08/2010 15:11

Oooh, I like the casual ones MooMinCow

Thank you!

I hadn't thought of Next, and like those very much indeed. Will try on next week.

Happily, the Juicy Couture ones are a bit too detailed for me, so no difficult decisions required.

I like those Office ones too, MooMinCow. Could look nice with a pencil skirt for the office, I think?

I can't decide between them lol - the Office ones look a bit smarter but the topshop ones look lovely and squishy (and I get 25% Arcadia discount so that might swing it!)

Depends what you want to wear them with Dreams I think? And what look you are going for, smart vs rock chick?

DreamsInBinary · 14/08/2010 15:28

They would be daytime boots to wear with dresses and leggings rather than a stronger nighttime look.

Although a pair that could also be worn with black skinnies on a night out would be perfect.

If you wanted to wear them out you would probably want something with more of a heel, or a cowboy style?

MooMinCow · 14/08/2010 15:45

Damn, seen these now - grr

Agree that the original ones are fugly (though I wear them all the time around the house) but the Yukon ones really don't look anything like so 'croccy' and I have just spent a week wearing them on holiday, where we did a fair bit of walking in hot weather, and they were sooooo comfortable, without the 'croc' fashion penalty. (Put it this way, my very fashion-conscious DW let me wear them, so they really CAN'T be so bad!!)

(I have the black ones.)

Ooops - wrong thread!!

cougar72 · 15/08/2010 16:39

how about these

They would be a bargain if they're the right size

topsi · 15/08/2010 17:32

these are great!

DreamsInBinary · 15/08/2010 19:31

Fab spot, Cougar. Am a seven but sorely tempted to stock up on thick socks Smile

Topsi - those are great, but not really the sort of style I was thinking of.

Thank you!
