Thinking of semi permanent eyeliner...any experiences?

I look so much better with eyeliner and mascara on, but hardly ever wear it because it seems to make my eyes look tired for days afterwards (don't know if I'm not taking it off properly, but I've tried dozens of eye make up removing products over the last 20 years).

I saw a salon yesterday which does semi permanent make up & eyelashes and I'm sorely tempted. A lady was just coming out who'd had her eyebrows and eyelashes done (she had alopecia) and she looked fantastic.

Any thoughts? The eyeliner is £300 and lasts for 3 years. The eyelashes are £60 for the first set, then £25 every 3-4 weeks for infills.

Have got permanent eyeliner and have been very pleased with result. Needed a topup after about 2 1/2 - 3 years. Was good for me as have hayfever and always rub my eyes without thinking. Plus found applying eyeliner a hassle in the mornings but do like the look. YOu can always apply normal eyeliner on top if you want a thicker line/different colour for a night out etc.
It does take time to do (min 1hr) and initially looks very dark but then fades/flakes off leaving a subtler look. (so the lady you saw would have been in the initial phase) Eyelids also a bit puffy the day or two after but not painful (having it done does sting a bit though, but only during the actual procedure.) Had no problems or complications.
Hope this helps.
Not done eyelashes though.

Thanks for the info, loopyloo - it's great to hear that someone else wanted this (I distinctly remember thinking that Michael Jackson was barmy when he had his done!)and even better to hear that you're pleased with it.

I have both eyeliner and eyebrows and I love it

I like the idea of this but I only put eyeliner inside my upper lashes and I don't think they could do it there.
