Can I spend the next 6 months in tunic, leggings and biker boots?

Or has everyone moved on.

I am buying my autumn/winter wardrobe and I'm normally a jeans and tshirt/jumper kind of girl.

I'm going for capsule wardrobe and fewest early morning decisions.

I am 35 and a size 16 and work from home and have school run.

This is the kinda thing i plan on wearing, i'm 31 and a size 16 too although i'm trying to become a 14. Finding jeans so uncomfy and restricting, and they soak up the puddles on wet days.

My boots cant be too biker-ish or dh will make fun of me. I really wish i had bought last years Fly london boots, the calf ones cant remember if they are the mes or the mols. Hopefully someone will link to this years must haves.

Where are you getting your tunics from? Have my eye on a boden one but i think its all over priced, but i do love it. Also looked at white stuff tunics, not sure as i've never tried them before, but otherwise i've not really come across many, i'm strictly an internet shopper.

My other concern is what kind of warm coat do you wear with a tunic and leggings? I've just bought a warm fleece lined bergaus (SP) waterproof for doing the school run and thats not going to go. Have my eye on a leather bomber type jacket but that won't be warm.

I'm planning to wear something similar.
Comfy and stylish. Covers bits up.
However am open to suggestions from stylish MNetters!

Also size 16. I think you need a coat or jacket longer than the tunic. I have a lightweight velvet green one that DH helpfully bought me one Xmas, that I will wear in the Autumn with tunics, and a knee length belted coat in a sort of dark camel to wear when it gets really cold. I also have a huge Landsend snowcoat that is hooded and waterproof for adverse weather conditions!

Easiest way to get dressed in the morning = a dress.

Jersey dress plus tights and boots is my winter staple, with long cardi if cold.

We sound of similar mind. I only Internet shop so fend to be boden, Jew or White stuff. Often from John Lewis for the free postage.

I don't like to have many clothes either as I get confused and never wear them!

I've bought a tunic and a dress from White stuff. I have a parka type thing for really cold days but nothing for in between

I also need boots. White stuff seem to have some nice biker ones but that might be a bit lazy. Also want some fly ones.

I also live in the same in winter.Last year i bought tunics from White Stuff,M&S and even Tescos[supplemented by cashmere tunics from hongkong].Boden looks awful on me for some reason.I am hoping to order some dresses from La Redoute this autumn as i like the natural fabrics.I wore over-the-knee boots last year in tan because of the leg-slimming properties of said boots[and they seemed to go with everything].I think you need knee length coats with tunics.I have an italian down coat [for really cold days]and an wool duffelstyle coat[plus a Laura Ashley camel coat from the sale].

Sounds like a perfect combination to me! Jackets - agree with the others that ideally you should have something that is longer than the tunics. If you invest in a good quality mac, you can't go wrong as they always look stylish with minimal effort. Pop the collar - even better. And you can usually fit a good chunky cardy underneath if needed.

I wear tunics, leggings and biker boots all year round.
