Is summer over?

If it is, I am in a total panic over having hardly anything to wear that's in-between-y.

It feels like it here (Oxfordshire) but usually perks up for September.

Yes, agree with dexter - I generally think august is a bit dismal however am sure September will be lovely.

Have been in jeans and cardigans for the last couple of weeks though and actually wore my mac the other day.

You need some close toed shoes to wear with jeans - mary jeans or ballet flats?

I have both actually, but neither is comfortable for long hikes.

I do have some Boden (!) satin plimsolls which are fine as long as it doesn't rain.
