Good quality vest tops

florence2511 · 12/08/2010 21:01

Does anyone know where I can buy reasonably priced, good quality vest tops? Going away to the sun soon.

I am big busted so need a v neck with thick straps.

I am seeing vest tops all over the high street but they all seem to be quite cheap and I have had problems with cheap vest tops before in that they stretch out of shape.

Cheers

My favourite this year has been one from George at Asda, which was only £3! I've also bought some from Next, River Island and H&M, and the Asda one is by far the best quality and washes really well.

Mine is a scoop neck though, but it does have thick straps.

I've been looking for decent vest tops for ages, so I will be keeping an eye out on this thread.

I've bought a few....

Primark - cheap and cheerful and come in loads of colours. Not very good quality so I only wear them on holiday.

Next - I bought these recently and they have all gone baggy. In fact, I bought them in 3 different colours and one of them was a different size, because it was really baggy even though the label said it was the same size as the others.

I buy all mine from Dorothy Perkins, thick straps, v-necks and scoop - about £5. I'm a GG bra and they are brilliant, bright colours or pastels and I'm still wearing some from last year that look like new

H&M are the best at the mo IMO.

They aren't ribbed - which I prefer and have 3% lycra in them so don't stretch out of shape and hold you in a bit.

They are also long (and have fairly wide straps) I think they wer £5 max.

Thank you for that Libra. I ordered a cosy cardigan on their Autumn preview and only for 15% off (I think).

Have just ordered one with the 33% off and cancelled my first order Grin

netbook - how much delivery charge did you pay? I thought it was suppose to be £4.95 but they kept trying to charge me £7.95 which is a rip off for postage.

netbook · 13/08/2010 13:44

You have to select the £4.95 from the drop down box, they kindly offer the £7.95 obviously thinking we have money to burn!

when I spoke to them they were surprised that I could get 33% of the cardigan and it's only supposed to be off their autumn range, opps their mistake, my gain

Uniqlo are good and were 2 for 9.99.

xkaylax · 13/08/2010 14:45

I usually get mine from topshop and there grat normally 2 for £10

florence2511 · 13/08/2010 20:59

Thanks everyone.

I'll check out H&M, DP and Uniqlo tomorrow.

Would love to buy the Isabella Oliver tanks as they look like a really good fit but even I can't justify that sort of money on a vest top :)

Keep them coming
