High heels with nine days to go before baby

DH and I are going out with friends this Saturday for our last big night out before baby, due 24th! It's a cocktails, burlesque, opera evening and is very dressy; DH and friends will be in black tie.

I bought this dress, such a splurge this late on but wanted something special:

and I'm trying to figure out shoes. I have a great pair of black stilleto heels which are surprisingly comfy and they would look perfect but could I survive a whole evening in heels? I've been wearing flip flops a lot! I don't really have any dressy black flats but maybe I could go get some cheapy ones from Primark?

Any ideas?

Gracie

I felt fine 2 weeks before my due date and could easily have worn heels, but I had no fluid retention/SPD type problems. Will you have to walk far or can you do taxis?

I'd be inclined to risk it and sling a pair of flip flops in your bag - no one's going to judge a pregnant woman for putting flip flops on at the end of the evening!

Sounds lovely, enjoy Grin

Thank you :)

I don't have any fluid retention/spd problems either. Taxi to and from venue and they reserved us seating because I am with bump.

Yay to pregnancy perks!

I think an evening in heels will tire you out a little more than if you were in flats, but really, you may aswell go with it and put some flats in your bag just incase.

On the other hand, french sole does wonderful flat shoes and has a very good sale on right now.
