Just had a quick look at the Boden clearance sale this morning online and certainly in women's wear there seems to be a lot of things suddenly back in stock, they must have had a lot of returns over the past few days.

Just letting you know in case any one is looking out for a particular item - Accessories in particular, lots of the handbags back in stock which have been sold out for a long time.

Thanks, got a cardi that was never even in the orignal clearance in my size.
Someone must've been hoarding a bit of stuff!

horridhobo · 10/08/2010 11:28

Off to have a quick look!

kittya · 10/08/2010 13:12

I doubt it. They probably had it but were just staggering it. If the satchel is back in, I would recommend.

SerendipityAlways · 10/08/2010 14:17

Satchel is in, but only left in the hibiscus.

They have chucked the US sale stock back into general population, I think.

Interesting. My wife has noticed that Hobbs Summer Clearance Sale is still on and there is the full range of sizes on offer.

Normally, at this time of year only the very large or very small sizes would still be available but nothing else.

British Retail Consortium this morning reported very weak retail sales that have suddenly dropped off in the last few month.

I am like a stuck record on this issue but the recession is far from over and we are about to go into a deflationary depression. Expect permanant sales from now on - dont buy anything full price. You will get it cheaper later if you wait.

interesting advice. Thanks.

LOL, that was my hibiscus satchel - kept the bronze, sent the hibiscus back on Friday!

dexter73 · 10/08/2010 16:05

Totally agree with you BeenBeta. It is my new policy to only buy clothes in the sale as I am fed up of buying something and then seeing it half price 2 weeks later!

LIZS · 10/08/2010 16:40

Looking at Pebble spot dress or Printed beach dress - any suggestions which is better to hide slightly rounded tummy ?!

SerendipityAlways · 10/08/2010 18:20

LIZS - I think the pebble spot dress is very pretty, and as its empire line it would be more figure flattering if you re worried about your tum! The turquoise/green colour is lovely!
The printed beach dress has a cord tie around the waist which may only accentuate a tum, I don't like it to be honest.

dexter - DW said the same. She bought some summer dresses at beginning of the season thinking her size would go quickly and now she is kicking herself as she could have saved money.

moragbellingham · 10/08/2010 20:51

I bought the pebble spot and am 10/12 so sized up.
I thought it was quite flattering and did indeed smooth over my mummy tummy/fat gut. Pink not so good as spots are ever so slightly off white, purple nice, but turquoise prob much nicer.

AgentProvocateur · 10/08/2010 21:35

twaseverthus I bought it this afternoon as soon as I saw this thread! I really wanted the bronze one, but it's been sold out for ages. Love the style though, so will give hibiscus a try - is it a really bright red?

blametheparents · 10/08/2010 21:51

The Bow Peep Toes are lovely, has anyone got them?
What do their sizes come up like?

kittya · 10/08/2010 22:08

small and narrow!!!

blametheparents · 10/08/2010 22:19

Guess it is a 42 then!

TwasEverThus · 11/08/2010 09:52

The hibiscus is nice and bright, AP, but I would say it has a trace of pink in it - so much the better imo. I would have kept it if the bronze hadn't turned up.

Northern Lurker loves her hibiscus satchel btw!

LIZS · 11/08/2010 19:11

:( dress sold otu again before I could order

AgentProvocateur · 11/08/2010 19:26

Oooh, I'm happy with a trace of pink - would prefer that to pillerbox red. Can't wait.

moragbellingham · 11/08/2010 19:38

Yes definitely size up with the shoes.

I'm a size 3/4 and bought the animal print peep toe slingback in size 4.
Had to send them back even though the were lovely and in the sale last year.
Thought I'd just put lots of weight on my trotters!

wools · 12/08/2010 17:51

Just received my hibiscus statement satchel...absolutely love it!!

TwasEverThus · 12/08/2010 19:58

Grin at wools

carefulwiththataxe · 12/08/2010 19:59

Just given in and ordered the merino wool tunic which I've had my eye on for months. Just hope I like it now!
