Recommend a hairspray that doesn't feel like glue

That's it really. Currently have a Charles Worthington one on the go which seems to be a throwback to 70s lacquer and makes my hair feel crap. Would like one with enough hold to maintain an up-do but which feels unobtrusive. Cruelty-free if possible, although I suspect such a thing doesn't exist.

I expect you will all tell me to buy Elnett. I already know it works but hate L'Oreal with an irrational fervour.

Hate to say it....but Elnett's the one. I have tried loads and keep going back to it.

Yup - boring but true - Elnett is the best. Various hairdressers over the years have told me the same. Particularly like the unperfumed type (with green band round).

PS And of course lots of brands which appear not to be L'Oreal are in fact owned by them, or by Estee Lauder (eg, Kerastase owned by L'Oreal, Aveda owned by Estee Lauder).

Elnett all the way!
