waterproof/showerproof jacket that doesn't make you sweat!

I have recently bought a Quechua waterproof jacket.I went out in it the other day when we had a light shower and i was soaked in sweat by the end of the road.I ended up taking it off as i was getting less wet from the rain!
Can anybody point me in the right direction of a jacket that is waterproof/showerproof and doesnt make you sweat???

Goretex breathes - and there are other similar fabrics around. Look at eg Northface or Berghaus. But if it is warm and raining some sweatiness hard to avoid!

Northface is the only sane way to go.

Think you might be right. My North Face ski jacket is a lot more breathable than the trespass rain coat.
