I don't like scented stuff so I'd appreciate suggestions for a body moisturiser please!

Tried Nivea, Sanctuary, Clarins, Johnsons Holiday Skin and they all seem to leave me sticky!

palmers do an unscented one like the cocoa one - you can get it in tesco

HinnyPet · 07/08/2010 22:26

what about a gel?You can return QVC stuff if you don't like it. I tried to link to a decleor one but it wouldn't work.

PueriSimilisCanis · 07/08/2010 22:36

avene stuff, although spenny, is lovely

I am waiting for rockbudgie to turn up pushing Phytaoil as usual

ShesEverSoFamous · 07/08/2010 22:44

I use Skin Milk
It is amazing, it does have a slight scent but of milk so it's not that noticeable and also really cheap!

HinnyPet · 07/08/2010 22:54

Ah, now I did get a free sample of phytaoil thanks to a rockbudgie link! It's too scented for me though.

Gel.. Hadn't thought of that! Ta cornsilk.

How much is avene PSC?

£12 for 40ml at boots so not cheap

I use the skin recovery cream, it's very light and not at all sticky; sposed to be primarily for face but my legs LOVE it

stressheaderic · 07/08/2010 23:03

Simple is pretty good.

teta · 08/08/2010 03:45

Aveeno or E45.

slhilly · 08/08/2010 06:20

If you want really super-cheap, Ben Goldacre gives instructions for making your own in his book (Bad Science). You can make a vat of the stuff for next to no money

BlackandGold · 08/08/2010 10:31

Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Cream

Have used it for ages; excellent price (around £2.49) and does what it says on the tub!!

rockbudgie · 08/08/2010 10:59

Ouch PueriSimilisCanis!

I agree hinnypet, phytaoil is quite strongly scented. If that's not for you maybe try E45 or Vaseline Intensive Care (I like the one in the paleyellow bottle). Neither are too expensive either.

I know its not a body lotion, but the body shops aloe vera body butter is great - i hate sticky creams as well, as this one absorbs quite quickly, leaving no residue behind.

You could always ask for a tester! or test some yourself.

purplepeony · 08/08/2010 11:51

I'm sick of sticky body lotions.

Currently have Jergens which is sticky and Neutrogena which is okay and not too sticky.
Agree Palmers Cocoa butter is quite good but get the unscented one.

I like Clinique body butter and Clarins satin body lotion but they were gifts-woulnd't buy for every day.

doggydaft · 08/08/2010 17:03

Aqueous cream from the chemist-it is completely non-scented and vv cheap (about £2 for 500ml tub) Just slather on and it sort of sinks in within a couple of mins, not sticky at all. You can also use it as a soap substitute in the shower (I haven't tried this personally)
Am a big fan of this now as first started using it for very dry legs which were irritated by my usual lotion but it does a far better job imo Smile

Katiekitty · 08/08/2010 18:40

Neutrogena body lotion - unscented, non-sticky and really moisturising. I swear by it, it's ace.

DrSpechemin · 08/08/2010 18:47

Aveeno is the best by miles - v good - I tried hundreds of different types and have now found my holy grail :o

Hermya321 · 08/08/2010 18:53

Vaseline Intensive skin stuff is fantastic, I've used it for ages.

It has a slight sent, but I'm sure there might be an unsented version.

HinnyPet · 08/08/2010 19:59

Ooh brilliant, thanks for suggestions. Will try and get some this week.
