Getting rid of puffy/baggy undereyes

I'd love to find something to help with the puffiness/bagginess under my eyes... nothing I've tried works, and I hate looking like a Panda!

Anyone any tips

BTW - I'm 44, and have a fairly good diet. Don't drink (much), smoke or drink tea or coffee. I usually get around 6-7 hours sleep but spend a stupid amount of time on a PC.

A year or so ago I began being plagued by the same problem and it made me so self-conscious. I think working on the computer is definitely an issue (but I'm a writer so can't help it.) I have seen reference to the pale, puffy look that results as "computer face."

What has not worked: eye creams.

What has worked: eye drops (Allergan Opticrom -- I wear contact lenses and these drops are of a class known as mast cell stabilizers. They work over time to reduce inflammation.) I put them in at night before bed because they can't be used with the lenses in.

The yoga pose "downward dog." It is supposed to help with lymphatic drainage. I don't really do yoga but try to do this one pose at least twice a day, holding for at least two minutes at a time.

Very gentle massage while cleansing, sliding my fingers from the inside corner of the eye outward and slightly downward.

Cut down on salt -- it helps.

Cut down on sugar -- it really helps.

Sadly I think you are looking at surgery to get rid of eye bags. Puffiness might be caused by too much face/under eye cream or late nights, but real bags only respond to the knife.
Sorry.

Oh believe me, I am not ruling out surgery. Wink

I want to postpone it as long as possible, however.

Some people say doing a liver / gallbladder cleanse will de-puff those undereye bags. I have not found this. Drinking your eight glasses of water a day is always good -- being hydrated keeps you from retaining water.

No surgery for me... I drink lots of water already and rarely have salt or sugar so I'll try the massage thing and se if that works at all
