Going out in 10 hours, skirt's a bit tight, what can I do?

If anything at all...

Not eating isn't an option but I'm not a fussy eater so eating particular foods would be fine.

It's too short notice, isn't it? It's too late.

Do you own Other Clothes?

CMOTdibbler · 03/08/2010 10:21

Go out and buy uber suck in pants - a control body is best imo as nothing blobs out of the top

AnyFucker · 03/08/2010 10:22

have a poo

change the skirt for something that fits

TrinityRhino · 03/08/2010 10:23

erm....wear
something
else

TrinityRhino · 03/08/2010 10:23

sorry
good luck

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 03/08/2010 10:26

Wear something else. Or magic underwear.

colditz · 03/08/2010 10:27

I DO own other clothes but I want to wear this particular skirt as it is Very Beautiful, ad I hold it in the same awe as a four year old would hold for a Real Princess Dress (ie, from Woolworths)

I'll, um, try other things on.

Dammit, I bought it on my 29th birthday and I was SO pleased because it was the first size 14 I had bought since I was 14.

And I can do it up and it does look pretty, not bulgy, but there is no 'give' and, for reasons I can't discuss on an open forum, I have a cracked rib and need to be able to breathe freely.

I wonder if I could fix a shoelace effect at the back and ribbon it up instead of zipping it.... do you think that would work?

Or if you have money and time to splash about you could get one of those thermal wraps where they wrap you in clingfilm and do unspeakable things to you. That would probably trim you down temporarily (effect doesn't last longer than a day or two, though).

notyummy · 03/08/2010 10:28

Yep, control pants (maybe x 2?)

Or...something else.

tethersend · 03/08/2010 13:36

Is it lined?

If so, cut the lining out. Instantly skirt is a full size bigger.

dairymoo · 03/08/2010 14:40

Drink lots of water in the next few hours and wee wee wee, eat a few prunes, and have a good 'clear out'! Sorry, that may have been TMI.

CoteDAzur · 03/08/2010 14:43

Take laxative & spend time on the loo.

Don't eat, obviously.

Wear something else.

notwavingjustironing · 03/08/2010 14:49

I'm more "intrigued by reasons for a cracked rib which cannot be discussed on an open forum"

But then I am incredibly nosy

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 03/08/2010 15:03

Come to think of it, if you have a broken rib you probably don't want to be wrapped in clingfilm and have unspeakable things done to you. Heck, for all I know that's how you got the broken rib in the first place...

Steam room?

traceybath · 03/08/2010 15:28

With a broken rib I wouldn't wear anything too restrictive personally.

Put the skirt away for another time and wear something you can breathe in.

You'll have a much better time
