I like maxi dresses, but aren't thye going to be the kind of thing you can't wear next year

because they are so very dated

I tend to avoid fashion because when I like clothes I want to be able to wear them for a few years

so maxi dresses - worth the investment (saw a really nice on in JL for £120 - not fond of the cheapo ones with the see-through or clingy material)

I will be. They suit me. I like them.

The trouble with fashion is that you can't always buy what you want, you can only buy what is in the shops.

I like maxi dresses as well, you can wear them for all sorts of occasions. Depending on the style, you could dress it up with accessories and wear it as a evening dress. They're also great for wearing over your cossie on holiday so I'm sure you'll get plenty of wear. You don't have to stick to trends, if you like it and it suits you, wear it!

i second the "if you like it, get it, wear it".

certain types of clothing are always "in" aren't they?! (though what the hell do i know anyway - see my "Zara Floral Trousers" thread?!!)

I was thinking about this the other day, and decided that maxis are never really going to go out now - they're just too comfy and liberating.
