Medium-full coverage Foundation for dry skin with medium wrinkles...Any recommendations?

Ok... I am getting a lot of "fine lines" which are rapidly becoming wrinkles. I also have really dry skin now and the makeup I have been using just accentuates every single flake and line on my face.

I have been using Estee Lauder Maximum Cover mixed with various shades of liquid foundation when I don't need it full coverage along with Ruby&Millie loose powder. I moved on to mineral makeup as it is much quicker to apply and didn't have time for the original makeup every day when I had DS. I was using Bare Essentials (sp?), Everyday Minerals, Lily Lolo and now trying Laura Mercier but they all tend to look good at first but then settle into every single little wrinkle, especially round the eyes, between brows and "expression lines" from corners of nose to corners of mouth.

Anyways, I am looking for advice on a new foundation that is kind of yellow based (Lancome and Max Factor/L'Oreal are too orange for me) with medium-full coverage or a mineral makeup that doesn't dry out my skin or make me look like the Emperor from Star Wars

Thanks in advance

PS I have heard good things about a Dior something lift foundation but it's light coverage. I need heavier coverage that looks natural as I have rosacea and broken veins that are really noticeable.

Thanks again

Yve St Laurent perfect touch is really lovely and doesn't settle. Medium coverage and I mix it with Clarins Beauty Flash for light coverage. They also do a good primer which stops stuff settling too.

..talumiere
just dont use around eyes - use a bb concealer for that

Clinique Repair Wear or Dewy Smooth.

I don't rate Chanel Vit- too shiny looking and not many shades.

Are you exfoliating often and using a good moisturiser first?
Heavy foundations will sink into lines- use something lighter and use concealer and alight reflecting loose powder if you need to. Go to the Clinique or Bobbi Brown counter for a make over.

Hi,

I have very dry skin and find Chanel Vitalumiere fantastic. I am quite pale (Irish) and it really blends well. I bought it in February and use it daily and am still on my first bottle so its also great value for money.

Good luck!

I am very pale- use Alabaster Breeze in Clinique Repair Wear and cannot find any Chanel foundation that is pale enough.

I'd also recommend Bobbi Brown moisturising foundation- they have masses of shades and the palest is even too pale for me!

Excellent - thanks for the first hand recommendations. Think I will head to the biggest dept store nearby next time I have some time and go round to test all of the above.

Especially liking the sound of the Bobbi Brown as Clinique always seems to accentuate my "rosy glow" but I have not used Clinique for about 14 years!!! So thanks again - I'm quite excited about it all

Chantecaille Future Skin is a lovely foundation. Not cheap but you use very little and it's also like a treatment for the skin. YOu'll get it in Space NK.

agree with PP you need to make sure you are moisturising properly first all they will all go a bit like that. Then I find that putting my mineral veil on first then foundation helps. You can then go over with MV again if you need to although I don't find I do. I have combi skin though.

Smashbox halo is great if you want a powder foundation - it gives a beautiful glowly natural finish - much better than any of the mineral powders and so quick and easy to use, you can build up the coverage really easily if you need more. I would buy from QVC which you can return if you don't like it and you also get a free full sizebrush with it that' s prob worth about £25.

I would also rave about the Bobbi Brown foundations. In photos I really look as if I am not wearing any - it is very well matched to my skin tone and my skin looks natural, covered but MUCH better. I am a convert from Chanel which was too shiny on me.
