I prefer the metallic one tbh...and at £99 easy to justify...

I tried on both the km dresses on the ASOS link. Both were gorgeous. I bought the pink in the end as ds is 5 months old and I'm yet to totally shift my mummy tummy so I'd have needed sturdy pants for the gold whilst pink one hides a multitude of sins! However saw gold one on eBay from some kind of outlet shop for about £85 - might be worth a look.

I tried on the metallic KM one before the sale, and thought it was gorgeous - clings in all the right places.

Only thing that put me off was its 'va-va-voom-ness' which seemed too much for my advanced age (47).

Plus it was during the really hot spell and I would have had to wear an unacceptable amount of armoury underneath.

But if you're firm and cute it'll be great.

Plus am I right in thinking some people consider white at a wedding erm bad form?

Bunny you must get that dress. Their shop is near me and I have the same one in a different print. One of my best buys yet - have been pregnant in it, breast-fed in it and worn it when my normal size - always looks fab.

More importantly, if you can get to the shop (in Greenwich), they will tailor-make them for you for an extra £20. Now that's a billy bargain. Only problem is, everything in the shop is gorgeous and you'll want it all.

The original dress surely is beautiful but am now wondering about the wedding bit.

It really does depend on whether the bride is a close friend and wears similar things.
Would she think it was just as fabulous?

Someone once told me that red wedding outfits were for prostitutes, so I wore mine. I don't know that people are too bothered these days?

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 24/07/2010 18:25

well, i spoke to the bride today. the bridesmaid is wearing fuscia, so the dress would def be ok... and at ASOS i can get 10% off. i would get it in aqua!
