in a week and bit?? Am going out next saturday and can fit into a pre-pregnancy Karen Millen dress (YaY!) but my thighs are still rather dimply, am excersising nearly every day and its reducing slowly, but was wondering if there is anything that can actually reduce the appearence even if its only temporary for the night out??

dry skin brushing? google it

ArcticRoll · 22/07/2010 12:44

No!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 22/07/2010 13:03

Long spanx?

traceybath · 22/07/2010 13:27

One of those wrap things you get done where they cover you in bandages and slather you in mud?

But I'd personally just fake tan and shove some dry oil on your legs.

tulpe · 22/07/2010 14:25

Avoid salty foods
Drink loads of water
Dry body brushing before shower

In terms of lotions and potions, Nivea do a 10 day serum which made my skin look better but it was a temporary solution. Alternatively, massaging any lotion or oil into the skin using firm strokes, will help improve the overall appearance of the skin. But we all have it. Pretty much anyway. And I have yet to find a magic solution

MaudofallHopefulness · 22/07/2010 14:32

Go running.

thumbwitch · 22/07/2010 14:33

NOt in that time frame!

But yes - lots of water, massively reduce sugar, fat and salt intake and do some toning exercises.

tulpe · 22/07/2010 20:46

oh and second vote for fake tan too. St Tropez everyday, used every other day between now and your night out

HowAnnoying · 23/07/2010 07:38

OK thanks - might try the nivea cream, and will fake tan (tho have a good tan anyway, but a top up can't hurt!!), and the dry brushing. I'm doign toning and cardio excersise, my arse kills! If all fails I'll have to wear tights!

actually the hardest thing is to remember to drink plenty of water!

If the dress covers your thighs, will the cellulite not be covered? If not, I'd wear something else, TBH.

HowAnnoying · 23/07/2010 07:55

well I guess the dress fall half way between bottom of bum and knees, I guess the cellulite travels a little bit lower than my thighs

purplepeony · 23/07/2010 08:22

Sorry- but if your legs aren't great and it bothers you- which it obviously does- then I think it's better to wear something say knee length. Short dresses on chunky legs just look cheap- sorry

HowAnnoying · 23/07/2010 08:42

Ah! Cheap! Please look at my photos and be brutally honest. (excuse the bedroom decor and mess!)

WelliesAndPyjamas · 23/07/2010 08:51

what cellulite??

purplepeony · 23/07/2010 09:07

Is this some kind of joke ? Your legs look great and without a really close-up shot I can't see any cellulite at all.

HowAnnoying · 23/07/2010 09:11

Well thanks, it is there though. I guess if you can't see it in photos then I'll be Ok in a dark pub/club!
Most of the girls i'll be out with have great bods so thats why I get worried.

OP posts:
purplepeony · 23/07/2010 09:15

You look great- just wear it.

thumbwitch · 23/07/2010 09:47

You're just showing off now, aren't you?!

tulpe · 23/07/2010 10:25

you have nothing to worry about Fabulous legs. IF they were mine, they would be on show constantly

Have fun!

Chandon · 23/07/2010 10:40

you are mad to worry, I would wear a SHORT skirt with those legs!

ronshar · 23/07/2010 10:47

I was going to add something nice and supportive.
Not going to now as I am crying that my legs will never be that nice no matter how much water I drank or ran 50 miles a week.

You have a lovely pair of legs. It is natural to worry following preganacy. However you have nothing to worry about.
Have a lovely night out

onthisdayinhistory · 23/07/2010 10:48

You look fab and really, you have nothing to worry about.

HOwever, if you're paranoid (because REALLY am being brutally honest - your legs are fab) I've found Dior's Plasticity is amazing. Really 'plasticises' those legs as the sales lady put it!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 23/07/2010 18:19

I hope you have an extensive selection of shorts as they are legs that really should be on show!
