here

They actually look quite cool on Kirsten Dunst and Maggie Gyllenhal, but then again what wouldn't?

What do you think? Having wrecked my feet wearing new stilettoes today, they are quite appealing atm but they are kind of ugly...

I think they look quite cool and really comfy. Mind you I recently bought a pair of comfy sandals in M&S even though an elderly lady with a zimmerframe said they looked nice [welcome to premature middle age].

PlumSykes · 22/07/2010 10:45

They are vile. I love a Birkenstock, but even my 63-year-old Mum would dismiss these as granny shoes.

usualsuspect · 22/07/2010 10:49

They look a bit like what my mum wears..

They do look comfy though [oops I said it out loud]

jooseyfruit · 22/07/2010 10:50

oh god no. Orthapaedic chic, I think not.

Ripeberry · 22/07/2010 10:50

They are practical and functional. Stilletos are the work of the devil

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/07/2010 10:54

Total granny shoes.

If La Gyllenhall wore a flour sack and a pair of builders boots she'd still look lovely. Nowt to do with the clothes.

Flighttattendant · 22/07/2010 10:56

Oh gosh they are hideous

Ripeberry · 22/07/2010 11:05

Granny shoes don't destroy your feet. Seriously, what is so great about stilletos?
Ankle breaking disaster shoes.

TheCrackFox · 22/07/2010 11:07

My grandma, who has been dead for 25yrs, used to wear something very similar due to her bad bunions and corns.

They are vile.

In saying that I will probably buy a pair next year as I am so sheeplike.

MrsTittleMouse · 22/07/2010 11:10

That's the sort of thing that looks really funky and trendy when you're in your early to mid twenties, and it's obvious that you don't really need them.

If I wore them, I'd look like I was trying to fast-track the menopause.

Francagoestohollywood · 22/07/2010 11:13

They are vile!

steamedtreaclesponge · 22/07/2010 11:15

I quite like those red ones

Mind you I am still in my twenties, does that mean I could get away with them? Or would I actually have to look like Kirsten Dunst for them to be acceptable?

ladysybil · 22/07/2010 11:15

vile. my mom in her late sixties wont wear them either.

ginnny · 22/07/2010 11:19

Nasty granny shoes.
(Mind you I said that about Uggs and now own a pair

magso · 22/07/2010 11:21

I'd love sensible shoes to become fashionable and i can blend in better with my even uglier orthotic footwear!

poppy34 · 22/07/2010 11:23

I am quite keen on comfy shoes (yes I've worn uggs crocs birkenstocks etc ) but cant see it with these.

MaudofallHopefulness · 22/07/2010 11:27

I always rejoice when comfy shoes come in to fashion.

They look like granny shoes, but I'm sure we'll all get used to seeing them around and then we'll all buy them (like Uggs).

lynnexxxo · 22/07/2010 11:46

I think they are ok as long as you don't wear them with tan tights and those little cushion things that you wear on your toes.

meerkate · 22/07/2010 11:53

like maudo, i am just SO happy when ugly shoes are deemed (albeit by a small minority) acceptable. i live in MBTs and fitflops. i do not know what heels are, in short. they look like a terrible idea from the pictures i've seen

JebusBuiltMyHotQuads · 22/07/2010 14:21

They look like they come from the K section in Clarks.

I'll pass...

MrsC2010 · 22/07/2010 14:28

Urgh

katiepotatie · 22/07/2010 14:31

bit like what my Mum wears, she's 62. Not really my cup of tea. Then I love my FitFlops!

Fimbo · 22/07/2010 14:34

They are beyond hideous. You can get shoes like that here for old women, we don't need nay want them to arrive in Britain.
