Bloody "Nice & Easy" (ha!) Medium ash brown semi has turned my mid brown with a smattering of hairline grey almost black and it looks ghastly..arrgghhhh.

Dh said "oh dear" in a very patronising "why-on-earth-have-you-done-that/what-have-you-done-now" way. Didn't help ...

Off to start the many hair washings i will do today/tomorrow/the day after to try and get rid of it.

Argghhh I feel your pain. Only thing I will say is that stuff really fades in the sun. So when your done washing it sit outside for a bit and you'll get some nice lighter streaks in it.

Was told by my hairdresser to use Head and Shoulders to strip hair colour HTH

Get number 4 in this it's really eay to use and will lighten up your hair, use it around your face.

I tried to economise last year and tried to dye my hair 'frosted blonde'.

It went orange. tried two more ash blondes on top. It went oranger.

Cue sobs, blokes laughing at me at work, and £150 at the hairdresser to put it right.

Apparently Boots sell a hair dye stripping thing. Prob not its actual technical name you understand

Swimming pools also strip the colour.....

I agree that it will fade. After 2 weeks, my washed every day hair faded from black to mid brown. Get thee to the shower!

daren't expose me cellulitey arse in the swimming pool so it's head & shoulders every day for me.

Cheap shampoo does a good job of toning down hair dye.
