New makeup kit on a small budget

I have realised that I haven't bought new make up in a very long time. Most of it is from when I go married 3 years ago!!! So I'd like to treat myself to new things but I can't afford to buy clinique style prices. Even tho I do like their stuff usually.

What are you best suggestions?
Also I don't wear make ip very often so it needs to be quick and idiot proof.

Thank you in advance!

Have you had a look at the Barbara Daly range at Tesco? I usually wear either Lancome or Dior foundation but now that my skin is tanned I need a darker colour. I didn't want to spend the usual C£30.00 a bottle for a foundation that will only get a few weeks use so I bought the BD oil free foundation and it's brilliant. My skin looks ever so smooth and it was a bargain at about £7.00. I also bought a dark grey eyeshadow and I think that was about £1.00.

The best liquid eyeliner I've found is by Rimmel. The thin brush means you don't end up with a really obvious thick line of eyeliner and it's less than £6.00.

Boots No7 range has a good choice of mascaras and Boots 17 is excellent value for so you could treat yourself to lots of new items for very little money.

Boots no 7 do a cream eyeshadow in lots of non offensive colours and they often have a 3 for 2 on. Revlon also do some of those cream eyeshadows that you smudge on with your finger and therefore I manage it before work at 5 am.

I like the mineral foundation powders, I've used loreal and max factor and they are much of a muchness IMO but you need to make sure you get the exact right tone, they are good as you can build up the cvoerage (or not).

I have just switched from clinique to lily Lolo foundation.samples are about £1.75
and the full size is £12.I find it easy to use and it looks quite natural. Also the eyeshadows are good.I use the golden lilac as a glittery eyeliner by using a wet eyeliner brush. But best of all is that it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.Any of the cheaper longlast lipsticks in a natural shade work well.I have just bought a Rimmel one with a natural pink lipliner which defines lips really well.

for light daily coverage I wear the Boots No7 tinted moisturiser. Easy in a bottle. About £11 but I buy with a £5 off voucher if I can. lasts for ages, evens out the skintone without looking like you are wearing makeup.

Hmmm. Think I'm off to tesco to check out Barbra daly's stuff.
Also got a few boots points to spend so may come in under budget!

Thanks!
