Giant feet shoe hell.

I have narrow, size 9 feet and have an absolute bitch of a time finding nice/comfortable shoes (socks, stockings...) in my size.

Does anyone else have this problem and where do you buy your shoes from?

If I could afford it I'd fly to Australia just to go shoe shopping. I swear it's true!

I am a 9 and narrow too.
Often a shoe will say a 9 or 43 and actually they're not- more like an 8.
I find all LTS shoes ridiculously wide- there is Magnus shoes on Chiltern Street which do mail order and range from uber frumpy to ...well, not exactly inspiring.
Try After 8 shoes (shops in Kingston and Bath but also mailorder)
Duo are fab- but I got a pair of boots size 42 whereas some of their 43's were too short
I would LOVE to be able to shop like a normal person for shoes, instead of spending exhorbitant amountsd on postage for shoes I usually have to return

Germany! They tend to go up to 43 there. Time for a shopping weekend in Dusseldorf/Hamburg/Munich?

FindingMyMojo, sounds like we need to organise a mass MN Big Foot shopping expedition! I can just imagine the look on all the poor German shoe peoples faces - hehe

I got my fit flops in size 9, although I think only one style available. Can I recommend El Naturalista? I'm a 9 in just about every other store but their 8/42 fits me really well. Expensive yes, but worth it I wear mine to death. Amazon good site for them.

Office do the odd thing in a 9, but good luck trying to actually find a pair in store. I was lucky when I got my cowboy boots as they decided to make men's sizes that year...

My sister is size 10 and a half, (she is 6ft 1 though) and she gets her shoes from eBay ! It's hard trailing past all the transvestite shoes though.

i second that, looking for heels for office wear and going out wear, you have to negotiate a lot of transvestite and pole dancer wear in a size 9. lots of leopard print for some reason though.

Schuh size 42, they call it an 8, is more like a 7.5
M&S size 8 is 7.5
Primark size 8 are more like a 7.5

Ipanema flip flops size 42 definately size 8
Rocketdogs size 42 definately size 8

I think Hush Puppies definitely size 8=42.
El Naturalista boots are delish aren't they?
