Is it me or do tops get shorter over time?

Am finding that my tops- vests and t-shirts mostly shink vertically over time.

Its really annoying as I have a long body (and short legs ).

I guess its the washing process but I do follow the instructions.

Anyone else find this happens?

me too although I thought it was just that they shrink in the wash

WarrenPeace · 15/07/2010 14:52

no
you get fatter
when i lost weight i found clothes didnt " shrink" as much

Some do. I took a couple back to M&S recently and got my money back. They had got wider and shorter so nothing to do with putting on weight. I put one next to a new one on sale and the difference was huge. Got my money back straight away so maybe they have had a lot of complaints.

I've noticed this too - and then realised that, as WarrenPeace says, it's cos I got fatter

yes happens to me, nothing to do with weight am a size 8/10.
The worst is mothercare pyjamas, ds1 has tops that are almost like crop tops now but seem twice as wide!

No honestly its not me putting on weight (which I do regularly, then loose it- well most of it), some of them really do get shorter.

Last summer I bought 4 gap vests thinking that they might be better quality. They are now all different lengths- thare is 4 inches difference between two of them. They look horrible when I wear them now.

grrrrr.....

some do get shorter. h&m have some vest tops in at the moment which are really long in the body, almost thigh length. great for layering and cheap.
