Long term smoker, but need to quit.
Im a bit pulled back by those horror stories on vaping but really want to give it a go, can anyone give me some good feedback on their experiences with health improvements whilst vaping. Or if you have any concerns.

Thanks in advance

MTL coils have a smaller hole for air so a bit tighter to draw on and use a lower power setting. The Direct to Lung coils use more air and need more power to produce vapour. Difficult to explain but MTL is the same as smoking a cigarette, Direct to Lung is like trying to inhale through a hose pipe or a snorkel, you take the vapour direct to your lungs.
Use a MTL coil at high wattage will burn it, a DTL coil at low wattage won't produce much vapour/flavour.
So no, the coils aren't interchangeable for whichever style you prefer.

"so it doesn't matter which coil you use? Either is suitable for MTL?" - No, they are two different styles of vaping so if you prefer MTL, smoking like style, then the DTL coil will be too loose.

Are they easy to change? The Boost coils just pull out and you press fit a new one.
How long do you find a pod lasts? Do you then throw the pod away? - Depends on how much you vape, maybe 2 weeks (the Caliburn coils are refillable so that helps) then you throw them away when it tastes funky. Other pod vapes are not refillable.

Complicated! I vape like I smoked so MTL I guess.

Can be a lot of trial and error unfortunately. Pod style ecigs are simple but you cant alter how they perform although some now do have airflow control. Dozens on the market so plenty to choose from.
Things like the Boost are a bit more complicated but can be tailored to the individual.
I quit smoking by accident 8 years ago using a disposable cigalike thing that was huge but something just clicked, hopefully you can find the right device.

I am currently trying to get of the e cig with patches and nicotine sweets lol. Do I have any regrets, just that i vaped so long but saying that delighted I'm not smoking cigs!! I did get to the point the e cig was basically my oxygen though i was puffing it constantly and that worried me. My advice would be start on a higher nicotine than you usually smoke that way your urges are more than satisfied when trying to break the actual smoking habbit then drop down in a week or two. I found this always took the edge of the first couple of weeks x
